Wookiee Radio 3: Archived With Marc Wendt

On this episode of Wookiee Radio, we talk with Marc Wendt, former archivist for Lucas Films. We start with his current job working for archive.org. This is a great site by the way. It is an archive of millions of free books, music, movies, software, websites, and more. We then get to the meat of the interview and find out a bit of what an archivist for Lucasfilm does, as well as how Marc got the job. Marc has some great stories about toy companies coming to Skywalker Ranch and pitching their ideas for products for the prequel movies. We also learn about the 18,000 square foot space that they used for storage. I picture this warehouse like the warehouse scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, when they are looking for the Ark of the Covenant. Maybe it is just me. We also find out the strangest licensed products Marc has seen, as well as what his favorites were. We also talk about TV scripts that George Lucas had written, and how Marc thinks this could be Lucas’s best work yet. All in all if you are a Star Wars fan, you do not want to miss this episode.

Wookiee Radio 2: The Rouge One Awakens 3D

In the second episode of Wookiee Radio, we start off the show with that sad announcement of the passing of Kenny Baker, best known as the man inside R2-D2. Rest in Peace Mr. Baker, you will be missed. We then move on to discuss the possibility of a Star Wars television show coming to the ABC network sometime in the future. After that, we talk about the rumors and hopes of a potential Boba Fett movie some day in the not too distant future. Movie talk leads us into a discussion about the fantastic Rogue One trailer that More
